Hello, Yamaha displays never save data; the data is stored in the motor. The problem seems to lie there. The display doesn´t need a battery, since there´s no clock built in.

Hello, The 85 cm long cable is integrated with the display. I don´t know what brand/model of e-bike you have, but the connector for the display is usually in the frame, and a cable with the connector comes from the motor, not from the battery, at least on e-bikes with a mid-motor.

Hello, is the total cable length 85 cm, or is there a bit of extra space? From the left handle to the motor, I have exactly 85 cm, which doesn´t leave any extra space to connect and retract the motor. Thanks!

For my bike (Babnoe) the cable from the display does not go to the motor, it connects midway to a cable from the motor. So 85 cm was actually too long, I had to do a loop near the handlebars
