Solid socks which will keep feet warm, although the shoes must be adequately warm too. The socks add at least half a size to feet, so choose slightly larger shoes. Feet stay dry enough during the day. Socks are tight, but not too much. Make sure you wash them separately, at least for the first few washings, as they shed fiber quite a lot.
