Salewa Wildfire Gore-tex is a flexible, comfortable, hiking and high intensity mountain training boots designed for everyone who is a alpinist to the core. This versatile boot provides maximum comfort, stability and traction in varied weather conditions and rugged terrain. This versatile Wildfire Edge Mid Gore-tex can be adapted from hiking mode to climbing mode ensuring maximum comfort.
The multifunctional Pomoca Speed MTN sole that is made from Butilic Compound which enables the shoe to penetrate into the ground creating good friction and grip against the wet rocks while you are trail running. The Gore-tex membrane provides optimized breathability and stability even in wet and slippery surfaces. Salewa’s Alpine fit guarantee 100% blister free thanks to MultiFit footbed Plus (MFF+) that can adapt to the unique shape of your foot giving you maximum comfort. And the stretch gaiters keep out trail debris, such as grit and leaves.

A precise-fitting, comfortable women’s tech approach shoe with a high-grip POMOCA outsole for climbing performance and waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® protection for fast mountain approaches, technical scrambles and easy alpine climbs.
The Wildfire GTX is a comfortable tech approach shoe, equipped with a versatile POMOCA Speed MTN sole for grip, traction and sure-footed climbing precision on technical mountain approaches, scrambles, traverses and climbs. It has a climbing zone at the toe and ensures good edging performance. Its POMOCA Butilic compound rubber provides better grip on rock in both dry and wet conditions, while the aggressive tread lugs offer improved traction on mud and softer terrain. We make the precise-fitting upper from robust mesh and give it an EXA Shell technology injected cage for enhanced torsional stability. It works together with our 3F system to wrap your foot for flexibility, fit and firm ankle and heel support. To cope with wet conditions, the Wildfire GTX has a GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining to provide waterproof and breathable protection. Climbing lacing further supports the wrapping fit, especially at the forefoot and allows you to fine-tune the toe for greater precision in technical terrain. Inside, the breathable OrthoLite footbed provides superior cushioning and wicks away moisture, helping to keep your feet cooler and drier.

Great shoes, ideal for rough terrain, good grip even in wet and muddy conditions. I took a 38.5 while I wear a 38, it's very good for day exploration. They are light to wear and relatively waterproof but dry quickly and easy to clean.
