AKAMI EGI Gaff 3.40 m

Secure Your Catch with Precision and Power: The Ultimate Eging Gaff

Never again experience the frustration of losing a prized squid or cuttlefish at the boat or shore. The AKAMI EGI Gaff 3.40 m is a masterfully engineered piece of fishing equipment designed specifically for the dedicated cephalopod angler. As a crucial part of your fishing tools, this gaff ensures that every successful strike translates into a successful landing. Its superior design and materials provide the reliability and performance you need when it matters most, making it an indispensable asset for both Eging and Tip Run fishing techniques.

Built for performance and portability, this gaff redefines what anglers can expect from their landing gear. The main shaft is constructed from high-modulus braided carbon, an advanced material choice that delivers an incredible combination of lightweight handling and uncompromising strength. This means you can carry it all day without fatigue and deploy it with speed and confidence. When a large cephalopod is on the line, the gaff’s rigidity prevents excessive flexing, giving you precise control to secure your catch quickly and humanely. Its extended reach of 3.40 meters is perfect for landing squid from high rocks, piers, or boats with a higher freeboard, bridging the critical gap between water and land.

Hook for cephalopods manufactured in braided carbon.

Equipped with a crown and a stainless steel hook.

Its compact folding allows us to take it hanging without bothering us in the fishing action and always having it at hand in case of capture.

Crown protector and anti-slip EVA grip.

Special for fishing to Eging and Tip Run.

Every detail of the AKAMI EGI Gaff is thoughtfully considered for the angler´s convenience and success. The compact telescopic design is a game-changer for mobility. It collapses to a minimal length, allowing it to be clipped to a bag or belt with an integrated clip, ensuring it’s always within arm´s reach but never in the way of your casting or jigging motion. When the moment of truth arrives, it extends in seconds. The gaff is fitted with a sharp, multi-point stainless steel crown hook, specifically designed to securely grip cephalopods without causing unnecessary damage. The use of stainless steel guarantees excellent corrosion resistance, making it a durable tool for saltwater environments. For safety and practicality, it includes a crown protector to prevent accidental snags during transport and an anti-slip EVA handle that provides a firm, comfortable grip even with wet or cold hands. While highly specialized, its role as a reliable landing device places it in the essential category of angling tools, similar to versatile boathooks but perfected for the art of Eging.
