Daiwa Megaforce VT jigging rod

DAIWA Megaforce VT Jigging Rod | Precision Vertical Fishing

Master the art of vertical jigging with the DAIWA Megaforce VT, a fishing rod meticulously engineered for the precision and sensitivity required for boat-based angling. Designed to excel in modern vertical tactics, this rod is your ultimate tool for targeting deep-dwelling and cautious predators. Its specialised construction provides the perfect balance of finesse and strength, allowing you to present your lure with lifelike subtlety while retaining the power needed to handle hard-fighting fish. Experience a new level of connection and control that will transform your jigging performance.

The Megaforce is designed for vertical fishing under a boat. The tactic involves fishing near the bottom and imparting tiny movements on a soft bait to try and tempt wary fish like zander. It works exceptionally well on reservoirs and slow-moving rivers, where precision is paramount. The rod’s unique action allows you to feel every contour of the bottom and detect the most tentative bites, ensuring you never miss an opportunity.

Engineered around a high-performance carbon blank, the Megaforce VT boasts a responsive tip action. This design is critical for vertical jigging, enabling you to feel the most delicate takes and subtle changes in the lake or riverbed. You will maintain constant contact with your lure, imparting the micro-movements necessary to trigger a strike from cautious predators. While the tip offers supreme sensitivity, the blank possesses a good reserve of power in the mid and butt sections. This backbone gives you the confidence to set the hook firmly and the authority to control a strong fish, preventing it from reaching snags and guiding it successfully to the boat.

Long sessions on the water demand comfort and control. The Megaforce VT features an ergonomic tubular screw reel seat, complete with a carbon locking ring, ensuring your reel is securely anchored without any play or wobble. This solid connection is complemented by a durable, high-grip EVA handle that provides a firm, comfortable hold in all weather conditions, reducing fatigue and enhancing your overall fishing experience. To maximize line management, the rod is fitted with high-quality SiC guides that minimize friction for a smooth, unimpeded lure descent and retrieve. The secure put-over joints ensure a seamless connection between the sections, preserving the blank´s natural curve and action for a feel that rivals that of a one-piece rod.
