GILL Women´s Pilot Vest: Your Essential Thermal Layer for Unrestricted Performance

Discover the perfect balance of core warmth, weather protection, and complete freedom of movement with the GILL Women´s Pilot Vest. Engineered specifically for the active woman, this versatile vest is an indispensable addition to your layering system, whether you´re at the helm, managing the deck, or exploring the coastline. Its intelligent design provides exceptional thermal insulation right where you need it most, without the bulk or restriction of a full-sleeved jacket, ensuring you can perform at your best.

Stay confidently dry and comfortable in unpredictable conditions. The Pilot Vest is constructed with an advanced two-layer laminated fabric that offers a robust barrier against the elements. This technical material is not only completely Waterproof but also impressively Windproof, deflecting biting winds and sea spray to maintain your core temperature. All seams are fully taped, creating an impenetrable seal that prevents any water ingress, even during sustained exposure to rain or spray. While it locks the weather out, the fabric remains highly breathable, allowing internal moisture to escape, so you stay dry and comfortable from the inside out during strenuous activity.

The thermal performance is at the heart of the Pilot Vest´s design. It features a lightweight, non-absorbent Synthetic insulation that provides an outstanding warmth-to-weight ratio. This advanced insulation traps body heat efficiently while drying quickly if it gets wet, ensuring reliable warmth. Inside, a super-soft, pill-resistant fleece lining adds another layer of cozy comfort and thermal retention. The high-cut thermal collar offers welcome protection for your neck and chin, shielding you from chilly drafts.

Designed with practical navigation and on-water use in mind, this vest is packed with functional details. The sleeveless, Without Hood design is deliberate, maximizing your range of motion for tasks like trimming sails or handling lines. For a secure and personalized fit, the hem features an adjustable shock cord, allowing you to cinch it tight to lock in warmth and keep drafts out. Secure storage is provided by two zippered handwarmer pockets and an internal zippered security pocket, perfect for stowing essential items. An internal D-ring attachment point offers a convenient place to secure a marine tool or kill-cord.
