Hart Slim minnow 170 mm

Discover the unparalleled effectiveness of the HART Slim Minnow 170 mm, a premier lure meticulously engineered for saltwater anglers targeting apex predators. This long, stylised minnow is a masterpiece of design, created to exploit a specific feeding behavior that often leads to the most memorable catches. It stands as the natural enemy of sea bass, especially on those days when they are actively hunting small eels or sand lances, making it an essential tool in your fishing arsenal. As a standout lure in the 151-205 mm class, its profile is an irresistible trigger for aggressive strikes from large, cautious fish.

The true genius of the HART Slim Minnow lies in its versatile and incredibly lifelike swimming action. On a simple, linear retrieval, it exhibits a tight wobbling and rolling motion that cuts through the water, sending out vibrations and flashes that are highly attractive to predators from a distance. This steady, enticing action is often all it takes to provoke a powerful strike and catch a good fish. For anglers who prefer a more dynamic approach, the lure responds brilliantly to varied inputs. By alternatively accelerating and stopping your retrieve with sharp twitches of the rod tip, you can make the minnow dart and pause erratically. This stop-and-go movement perfectly mimics a panicked or wounded baitfish, an action that feeding predators find utterly irresistible.

Versatility extends to its performance in the water column. You can easily control its swimming depth. For a classic sub-surface presentation, a standard retrieve will keep it in the prime strike zone. However, by simply holding up the rod tip and slowing the retrieve, you can make it swim just underneath the surface, creating a subtle wake that is perfect for calmer conditions or for drawing fish up from below. This lure is a testament to brilliant, user-friendly design. It is a lure that any angler, whether a seasoned beginner or an experienced professional, can handle easily and use to achieve surprising and rewarding results right out of the box. Its aerodynamic body and balanced weight ensure long, accurate casts, allowing you to reach distant fish and cover more water effectively.
