Helly Hansen Salt 2 jacket refurbished

Refurbished reasons: Pre-owned condition showing minimal fabric washable marks from a few light uses, noting a defective main front zipper with blown-out rear plastic retaining teeth that prevents it from closing, supplied safely repackaged without original retail packaging. Suitable for an offshore sailor, coastal enthusiast, or DIY renovator who has the skills to repair or replace the main zipper slider/mechanism to secure a premium, waterproof-breathable Helly Tech® marine jacket at a steep discount.

Equip your young adventurer for any coastal exploration or rainy-day challenge with the HELLY HANSEN Salt 2 Jacket. A direct descendant of our iconic marine-striped sailing jacket, this version is meticulously engineered for children, offering uncompromising protection and versatile style. Designed for both boys and girls, it is the ultimate all-weather shield, whether on the deck of a boat or on the way to school.

The core of this jacket´s superior performance lies in its Helly Tech® Performance construction. The Salt 2 jacket for children, designed in Helly Tech Performance fabric, is perfect to protect your children during heavy rain. This fully seam-sealed construction delivers exceptional elemental protection, making it an essential waterproof and windproof barrier against the harshest conditions. Critically, this advanced fabric is also highly breathable, allowing internal moisture and excess heat to escape. This ensures your child stays dry and comfortable from the inside out, preventing the clammy feeling often associated with lesser rainwear during active play. This jacket is all you need for the next rainy season, providing reliable thermal regulation in unpredictable weather.

Safety is paramount in the design of the Salt 2. Strategically placed Solas reflective accents ensure 360-degree visibility, making your child easily seen in low light, during stormy weather, or near the water. This focus on visibility is enhanced by a packable and detachable high-visibility hood, which can be quickly deployed for extra protection and safety or stowed away in fair weather. The inclusion of these brilliant reflective accents makes it an ideal choice for activities where being seen is crucial, from evening walks to navigation on the water.

Every detail is crafted for durability and comfort. The jacket has reinforced cuffs for durability, standing up to the rigors of active use and ensuring a longer lifespan. It features a high protection collar with a soft interior that offers great comfort and protection for the neck and chin against biting winds and driving rain. Furthermore, the synthetic jacket is coated with a quick-drying liner that will make everything easier, wicking moisture away from the skin and ensuring the jacket is ready for the next adventure in no time. Practical features include a D-ring for the attachment of a kill cord, a nod to its authentic sailing heritage. Its compressible nature, especially with the packable hood, makes it easy to store in a backpack. This exceptional jacket, complete with a protective hood, is the definitive choice for keeping young explorers warm, dry, and safe.
