MIKADO Fixed 042 Float (0.5g) | Precision Bite Detection for All Waters

Elevate your angling experience with the MIKADO Fixed 042 Float, a masterfully designed piece of fishing equipment engineered for anglers who demand precision, versatility, and reliability. Whether you are targeting wary fish in the calm, glassy waters of a lake or navigating the gentle currents of a slow-flowing river, this float is your key to detecting the most subtle and delicate bites, ensuring you never miss an opportunity.

The MIKADO Fixed 042 is designed for superior performance and is a standout model within a celebrated series of fixed floats. Its primary advantage lies in its straightforward and secure attachment system. The float is expertly crafted to be attachable with silicone or igelit tubes, allowing for quick and easy setup on your line. This method provides a firm, non-slip grip, ensuring your chosen depth is maintained consistently throughout your session, while also allowing for rapid adjustments as conditions or tactics change. This simple yet highly effective design means you spend less time rigging and more time fishing.

One of the standout features of the MIKADO 042 is its exceptional versatility. It has been meticulously balanced and shaped to be great for stagnant and flowing waters. In still conditions, its lightweight and sensitive build transmits information about the slightest underwater activity, registering even the most timid inquiries from fish. When used in moving water, its stable design resists being overly affected by the current, allowing for a natural, controlled drift that presents your bait perfectly to fish holding in the flow.

This specific model, with its delicate 0.5-gram weighting, is a specialist tool for ultra-light and sensitive presentations. It is ideal for fishing with small baits for species like roach, rudd, and perch, where bite detection is paramount. The high-visibility antenna, painted in bright, contrasting colours, stands out clearly against any water surface or background light, making it easy to track and ensuring you see the instant it dips, lifts, or slides away.

The MIKADO brand is synonymous with quality, and the Fixed 042 float is part of a larger, comprehensive range designed to meet every angler´s needs. Understanding that no two fishing days are the same, various weights of floats with and without a light stick mount are available in the range, as well as a variety of shapes and colours. This allows you to build a complete and adaptable float kit. Choose heavier models for fishing at greater depths or in stronger currents, select different shapes for varying stability and sensitivity, and opt for models with a light stick mount to continue your success during dawn, dusk, and night fishing sessions. The MIKADO Fixed 042 is your entry point into a system built for success in any coarse or match fishing scenario.
