Mikado Ice Flat jigging rod

MIKADO Ice Flat Jigging Rod: Ultimate Sensitivity for Perch Ice Fishing

Unleash your full potential on the ice with the MIKADO Ice Flat, a masterfully engineered jigging rod designed for anglers who refuse to miss a single bite. Created specifically for the art of light ice jigging, this rod is your ultimate tool for targeting finicky and shy-biting perch. Its unique design philosophy combines incredible sensitivity with the robust power needed to dominate your time on the frozen water. Whether you are a seasoned ice angler or looking to elevate your perch fishing game, the Ice Flat provides the precision and feedback necessary for a successful day.

The true genius of the MIKADO Ice Flat lies in its exceptionally delicate tip. This purpose-built construction acts as a highly effective "bait alarm," visually signaling even the most subtle of takes. When perch inhale the bait with minimal aggression, this sensitive tip will dip or twitch, providing you with a clear, unmissable strike indicator long before you would ever feel it by hand. This feature is a game-changer, allowing you to react instantly and convert those faint nibbles into solid hook-ups, dramatically increasing your catch rate throughout the day.

While the tip offers unparalleled finesse, the backbone of the rod is engineered to be strong and stiff. This robust mid-section, made from a durable glass fibre blank, ensures you have complete control over your lure´s action. Every subtle movement of your wrist is transferred directly to your ice-spoon or jig, allowing you to impart the perfect, enticing motion. When a fish does strike, this stiffness provides the power for a swift and decisive hookset, ensuring the hook finds its mark even in the hard mouth of a winter perch. This perfect balance of a sensitive tip and a powerful blank is the hallmark of a high-performance Jigging rod.

Optimized for the modern perch angler, the Ice Flat is a 60 cm long rod, an ideal length for comfortable and effective fishing inside an ice shelter or for "hole hopping" across the lake. It is expertly balanced for fishing with ice-spoons and small jigs up to 7 grams, the prime lure size for tempting trophy perch. Its one-piece construction guarantees flawless action and maximum durability, eliminating weak points and ensuring it can withstand the rigors of cold-weather fishing.
