Nash Dumpy Pear carpfishing lead

NASH Dumpy Pear Lead | Versatile Carpfishing Weight for Precision Casting

Discover the ultimate all-rounder for your Carpfishing setup with the NASH Dumpy Pear lead. Engineered for superior performance and unmatched versatility, this lead is a cornerstone in the tackle box of discerning carp anglers who demand precision, efficiency, and adaptability from their equipment. Whether you are fishing at close quarters or casting to the horizon, the Dumpy Pear delivers exceptional stability and accuracy, ensuring your rig lands perfectly every time.

Its unique, compact shape is the key to its success. Hugely popular and versatile Dumpy Pears offer excellent casting performance where rigs need to be placed precisely even at range but their concentrated weight exaggerates pressure on the hook point when carp tighten the link compared with longer swivel lead designs that can pivot. Able to present baits effectively whatever the nature of the bottom Dumpy Pears are first choice for many carpers almost irrespective of the venue. Finished in the trademark Nash textured camouflage coating to suit weed and silt or gravel and clay Dumpy Pears also absorb liquid attractors in the coating to win extra takes when feed needs to be kept to a minimum.

Maximum Hooking Efficiency

The genius of the Dumpy Pear´s design lies in its concentrated mass. This dense, compact form translates into an incredible "bolt effect." When a carp picks up your bait and tightens the hooklink, the lead´s weight is transferred directly and instantly to the hook point. This rapid pressure ensures a more secure hook hold, significantly increasing your chances of converting a take into a landed fish. Unlike longer leads that can pivot and absorb some of the initial force, the Dumpy Pear offers uncompromising hooking potential.

Unrivalled Concealment and Attraction

Stealth is critical in Carpfishing, and the NASH Dumpy Pear excels in blending seamlessly with its surroundings. The renowned Nash textured camouflage finish is non-reflective and designed in two distinct patterns to match any lakebed you might encounter. Choose the weed/silt finish for darker, softer bottoms or the gravel/clay option for clean, hard spots. This unique textured coating provides an additional, game-changing advantage: it is porous enough to absorb your favourite liquid attractors, glugs, and dips. This allows you to create a potent scent trail directly around your hookbait, a tactic that can prove irresistible to wary carp, especially when minimal feed is required.
