Plastimo Kobra II Anchor

PLASTIMO Kobra II Anchor

Secure your vessel with the ultimate in anchoring technology, the PLASTIMO Kobra II Anchor. Designed for the discerning mariner who demands reliability, performance, and peace of mind, the Kobra II is a revolutionary solution in the world of anchoring and mooring. Whether you are setting anchor for a short lunch break or for a secure overnight stay in challenging conditions, this anchor provides the holding power you need, exactly when you need it. Its advanced engineering ensures it is a top-tier choice for boats and equipment, delivering performance that consistently exceeds expectations.

The true genius of the Kobra anchor lies in its ability to perform instantly and effectively. The Kobra Anchor bites into the seabed within seconds and has a very high holding power, thanks to its weighted tip and very broad shoulders. This rapid and deep penetration ensures a firm grip on a variety of seabeds, from soft mud and sand to more challenging mixed bottoms, significantly reducing the risk of dragging. The outstanding performance of the Kobra results from its particular geometric proportions, which allow you to select safely up to 2 sizes down compared to the usually recommended anchor weight. This not only makes the anchor easier to handle but also represents a significant advantage in terms of weight management and storage on your vessel.

Features:

The Kobra series is available in two distinct configurations to suit your specific boating needs:
- Kobra 1 with Folding Shank (Patented): Cleverly designed to be stored on the bow roller or stowed compactly in the chain locker thanks to its collapsible shank. This innovative feature makes it an exceptionally versatile choice for boats where space is at a premium. Its high holding power also makes it ideally suitable for use as a picnic anchor, used in conjunction with a weighted mooring line. This reduces the effort necessary in the absence of a windlass, making it perfect for day trips and short-term anchoring.
- Kobra 2 with Fixed Shank: Engineered for maximum rigidity and strength, the Kobra 2 is the definitive choice for a primary, permanently installed anchor. It offers uncompromising stability and holding power for long-term mooring. For logistical convenience, the anchor is supplied with the shank not locked for transport. Please note that the shank must be securely and properly bolted before its first use to ensure full operational safety and performance.
