Plastimo MOB Float

PLASTIMO MOB Float: The Essential Man Overboard Rescue System

Ensure the highest level of safety on board with the PLASTIMO MOB Float, an indispensable piece of rescue equipment for any responsible mariner. In a critical man overboard (MOB) situation, every second counts. This innovative device is engineered for rapid response, providing immediate assistance and significantly improving the chances of a successful and safe recovery. Designed for intuitive use under pressure, it is the ultimate safety solution for sailors and powerboaters alike.

Rapid Deployment and Effective Rescue

This complete rescue gear bridges the gap between the casualty and the boat, provides crucial buoyancy, and helps in hoisting the casualty back on board. Its intelligent design allows for a quick set-up, making it ideal in the event of a man over board. Unlike traditional, bulky life rings, this float can be deployed instantly, reaching the person in the water with speed and accuracy. Once in the water, it floats high and provides an actual buoyancy of 142.2 N, offering immediate support and helping to prevent panic and exhaustion while the vessel maneuvers for recovery.

Engineered for Hoisting and Recovery

Bringing a person back on board, especially one who may be exhausted or incapacitated, is the most challenging part of a rescue. The PLASTIMO MOB Float addresses this with its purpose-built features. It is equipped with two rigid handles, constructed from 50 mm tubular polyester webbing, which facilitate a secure grip by the onboard crew. These robust handles allow the crew to get a firm hold and more easily hoist the casualty back on board, reducing strain and the risk of further injury to both the rescuer and the casualty.

Smart, Space-Saving Storage

Onboard storage is always at a premium. Recognizing this, the PLASTIMO MOB Float is designed to be slim, flexible, and compact, making it exceptionally easy to store on board. Its unique form factor ensures that it is always close at hand and ready for use. The Silzig, as it is also known, fits ideally along the guardrail, on the transom, or can be neatly stowed inside a RIB along the tube and floor. This accessibility is paramount; a rescue device is only effective if it can be reached and deployed in an instant. The unit is protected by a durable outside cover made from 650 g/m² coated polyester, ensuring it withstands the harsh marine environment of sun, salt, and water.
