Plastimo Pilot 165N Automatic Life Jacket

PLASTIMO Pilot 165N Automatic Life Jacket

Navigate with confidence and unparalleled comfort with the PLASTIMO Pilot 165N Automatic Life Jacket, a pinnacle of maritime safety designed for both coastal and offshore sailing. Engineered by the renowned marine experts at Plastimo, this life vest provides reliable, automatic protection without compromising on freedom of movement, making it the ideal choice for discerning sailors and boaters who demand the best.

The core benefit of the Pilot 165N lies in its superior ergonomic design. It is crafted to be worn for extended periods without causing fatigue or restriction. Its modern, lightweight construction is intentionally short on the chest and open on the sides, ensuring your arms have a full range of motion for handling sails, lines, and equipment. A flexible, rounded neck collar prevents chafing and sits comfortably, allowing you to focus on the water ahead, not on your safety gear. This is an inflatable lifejacket built for active use, providing peace of mind that is felt, not seen.

This specific model is an automatic version without an integrated safety belt (harness), perfect for mariners who do not require a tether point or prefer a separate deck harness. The reliable automatic inflation system activates instantly upon immersion in water, rapidly deploying the high-visibility bladder to provide 165 Newtons of buoyancy. This level of buoyancy is sufficient to support an adult, even in heavy weather clothing, and is designed to self-right the wearer, keeping their head and airways clear of the water. For complete control, a manual pull-cord is also included as a secondary activation method.

Safety is paramount, and the Pilot 165N is equipped with essential features to maximize your visibility and chances of a swift recovery in a man-overboard situation. The brightly coloured inflated chamber ensures you are easily spotted in the water, while strategically placed retro-reflective tapes catch the light from searchlights and other vessels. A built-in marine-grade whistle allows you to signal for help audibly.
