Princeton Tec Fred Headlamp

Illuminate your adventures with the Princeton Tec Fred, the intelligently designed headlamp built for versatility, reliability, and ease of use. Whether you´re navigating a dark trail, setting up your campsite after dusk, or simply need hands-free lighting for a project, the Fred delivers dependable performance when you need it most. It is the perfect companion for campers, hikers, and families seeking a straightforward yet powerful lighting solution.

One of the Fred´s most celebrated features is its smart lighting sequence, designed to protect your valuable night vision. Unlike other headlamps that blast you with bright white light upon activation, the Fred always turns on in its low-power red LED mode. This subtle red light is ideal for tasks in complete darkness, such as reading a map, searching for gear in your tent without disturbing others, or enjoying a starry night sky. By preserving your eyes´ natural adaptation to the dark, you remain more aware of your surroundings.

When you require more illumination, a simple press of the large, easy-to-find button cycles the Fred into its powerful white light modes. Choose between a high-output beam to clearly light the path ahead or a low-output setting for conserving power during less demanding activities. This dual-beam capability makes the Fred exceptionally adaptable, providing the right kind of light for any situation you encounter.

Engineered for the rigors of the outdoors, the Fred is impressively lightweight, ensuring it can be worn for extended periods without causing discomfort or strain. Its robust construction is also rated for water resistance, meaning it will continue to function reliably through rain, splashes, and humid conditions, so you never have to let a little weather stop your plans. The headlamp’s body can be pivoted, allowing you to precisely direct the beam of light exactly where you need it, whether you´re reading a book or watching your footing on uneven terrain. With an incredibly long burn time, the Princeton Tec Fred provides peace of mind on multi-day trips, knowing your light source will endure
