Ragot Fat jig

RAGOT Fat Jig

Experience unparalleled casting distance and rapid depth penetration with the RAGOT Fat Jig, a revolutionary lure engineered for the modern saltwater angler. Designed to dominate the water column, this jig is the definitive choice for reaching deep-dwelling predators with speed and precision. Whether you are casting from shore into a headwind or dropping vertically from a boat in a strong tide, the Fat Jig delivers consistent, top-tier performance.

Engineered for Density and Performance

The FAT JIG, as its name suggests, was meticulously designed to be heavy—or rather, incredibly compact for its weight. While the Ragot range of spoons and Jigs is already comprehensive, it was necessary to "think density" to complete the arsenal and provide anglers with a unique tactical advantage. The result is a dense yet compact lure that excels in the most demanding conditions.

The core benefit of this design is its formidable efficiency. The FAT JIG casts exceptionally well, cutting through the air to achieve maximum distance. Once it hits the water, its density allows it to plummet quickly through the water column, reaching the strike zone faster than conventional jigs. This is crucial when targeting fish holding in deep water or when you need to get your lure down before the current sweeps it away. Furthermore, its compact profile is not too imposing and offers minimal resistance in the current, allowing for a more natural presentation and less fatigue for the angler during retrieval.

Ready to Fish with Proven Results

Out of the package, the FAT JIG is armed with a premium, razor-sharp assist hook and a simple in-line hook. This modern rigging configuration enhances the hook-up ratio, minimizes leverage that can dislodge the hook during a fight, and reduces snagging on the bottom. Available in a professionally selected range of Natural and eye-catching Flashy colours, you can easily match the hatch or trigger a reaction strike in any water clarity.

The effectiveness of this lure is not just theoretical. The FAT JIG proved during rigorous field tests to be a formidable weapon on all our marine predators. It has shown outstanding success, especially when targeting prized species like Plaice and Bass, making it an essential addition to any serious sea angler´s tackle box.
