Seika Tekkan Light Eging Rod

Discover the ultimate tool for the dedicated cephalopod angler with the SEIKA Tekkan Light Egging Rod. Expertly engineered for the art of eging, this rod is your key to mastering the pursuit of squid and cuttlefish from the boat. It’s designed not just to perform, but to elevate your entire fishing experience, offering unparalleled sensitivity and control when you need it most.

The SEIKA Tekkan Light is a specialized two-piece rod conceived specifically for cephalopod fishing from a boat. It is part of the prestigious Tekkan series, which includes three distinct models to cover every angler´s need: the standard Tekkan, the Tekkan RC with a casting reel seat, and this finely-tuned Tekkan Light. This model stands out for its delicate precision, making it the perfect choice for light eging techniques and targeting finicky feeders.

At the heart of its design is a tip that offers truly excellent sensitivity, allowing you to feel the most subtle inquiries and tentative takes from wary squid and cuttlefish. This heightened feedback is crucial for successful hook-ups. Furthermore, the rod´s blank is crafted to produce a very uniform and progressive curve under load. This intelligent design acts as a shock absorber, facilitating the recovery action by gently cushioning the frantic lunges of your catch. The result is a significantly reduced risk of tearing the delicate tentacles, ensuring more of your hook-ups make it into the boat.

Night and low-light fishing sessions are transformed thanks to the rod´s innovative end, which is painted with a high-visibility Moon Glow finish. This feature ensures you never lose sight of your rod tip, allowing you to detect visual bites with ease during the most productive hours of dawn, dusk, and nighttime. Every component is chosen for performance and longevity, featuring high-quality Sea Guide rings and a secure, ergonomic Sea Guide reel seat that guarantees your reel stays locked in place during intense battles.

The SEIKA Tekkan Light Egging Rod is finished with a level of detail that speaks to its quality. It boasts excellent finishes throughout, with stylish carbon fiber inserts that add a modern aesthetic and structural integrity. The handle is crafted from high-density EVA, providing a comfortable, non-slip grip for long-lasting comfort and superior control, even in wet conditions. This rod is more than just equipment; it´s a precision instrument for the angler who demands the best in light eging performance.
