Hello, I bought this DT SWISS ribbon because it is the one that best meets my requirements. Indeed, this tape is easy to install because it is slightly stretchable, it does not create creases for an impeccable finish, it positions well (you can peel it off slightly during installation when you are not well centered without having to throw it away and start again which avoids waste), it is very waterproof because I have never had a leak at this level unlike other competing tapes. For the width you have to take 2 mm more compared to the internal width of the rim because of the hollow in the rim base.

Hello, when buying the rim tape you have to calculate that the internal channel has a curved groove so the tape generally must be about three millimeters wider than the internal channel so in this case 28 mm. Then when mounting, the inner channel of the rim must be cleaned and degreased well, possibly it should be heated with a fhon and the tape must be pulled back and stretched well making sure that it adheres well to the internal channel without going up along the internal edges of the sides. Care must also be taken to overlap the tape possibly with reference to the valve hole by at least 2/3 radii both to the right and left of the valve hole. It is also good practice to cut a small piece of tape about 7 cm long to place over the last piece of tape so that the latex does not cause the entire tape to unstick but possibly only the piece that can be easily replaced when changing the tire or the it restores the latex so you don´t have to replace the entire tape or join pieces that don´t guarantee tightness. Finally, after the tape has been mounted correctly, the hole for the valve is made with a hot awl in order to have the maximum seal.
