You should just set your saddle where you would normally set your saddle. The fractions of a second when it flexes don't matter, but you should accommodate saddle height for a little sag.

Cool ride! Normal rattling on a trail is fine, but manufacturer specs say these will NOT take seated drops of more than 1 foot. There is also a weight limit on the seat post. That said, I've been using on my gravel bike for 3 years now and it's great.

You'll get 20-25mm travel with this seatpost. Definitely less cushioning than a conventional suspension post. However, it is also significantly lighter than a damped suspension post and requires no maintenance other than periodic cleaning so that dirt doesn't get between the suspension "leaves" and cause wear.

Hi! I see that you have an Ortlieb seat-pack, which says that they're not to be installed on carbon fiber seat posts. So, A) No, it should not be installed on this seat post, because B) it is made of carbon fiber. Good luck and safe riding!

Per manufacturer´s spec, maximum rider weight is 90kg/220lbs. There is no minimum weight, although the lighter you are, the less it will flex.

This is the best seat-post I've had. it really does damp the worst effects of poor road surfaces and I see no reason why this effect would be affected by a lower rider weight (I'm over 90kg!).

Firstly, check your current stem diameter, m on your Giant Révolte, either it´s 27.2mm or 30.6mm, but probably 27.2mm. Next, measure the extended length of your current seat post. From the saddle mounting rails to the seat post clamp on the frame, there needs to be a minimum of 140mm of output, from what I measure. Then there´s a 100kg weight limit on the seat post, which is huge since you´re distributing your weight between the saddle, pedals and handlebars. In my opinion your bike is completely compatible with this seat post. Please note that this is a carbon seat post and that you will need to use the special paste supplied with it for assembly, and not exceed the tightening torque.

Premièrement, vérifiez le diamètre de votre tige actuelle,m sur votre Giant Révolte, à savoir soit c´est 27,2mm ou 30,6mm, mais probablement 27,2mm. Ensuite, mesurez la longueur sortie de votre tige de selle actuelle. Depuis les rails de fixation de la selle jusqu´au collier de serrage de la tige de selle sur le cadre, il faut un minimum de 140mm de sortie, de ce que je mesure. Ensuite il y a une limite de poids de 100kg sur la tige de selle, ce qui est énorme puisque vous répartissez votre poids entre la selle, les pédales et le guidon. A mon avis votre vélo est tout à fait compatible avec cette tige de selle. A noter que c´est une tige de selle carbone et qu´il vous faudra utiliser la pâte spéciale fournie avec pour le montage, et ne pas dépasser le couple de serrage.

Hello, I have the Ergon seat post installed on my 2022 Specialized Diverge and it’s working out very well. I know it’s designed for bikes with a 27.2 mm seat post, otherwise I’m not aware of any reason it would not be compatible with your bike. Cheers

Hello, It appears the seat post will be very close to your limit, if not a bit short. Because of it’s unique design, the bottom of the seat post to the minimum insertion line measures 11.0 CM or 10.6 CM depending on where the measurement is taken. If I measure from the limit line to the center of the front saddle mounting bolt, I come up with 23.5 CM. This was a question I should have asked before purchasing the seat post because I’m quite tall and to get the necessary saddle height, I needed to raise it beyond the limit by approximately the same amount as you would need to, and combined with the fact that I am right at the recommended weight limit meant that my wife acquired a very nice Ergon seat post…and she loves it! That’s true, there is a 100kg limit on the seat post. I am right about at the limit but it turns out the seat post isn’t long enough for me so my wife (who fortunately is WELL under the limit) now has it on her gravel bike…and loves it!

Better vibration absorption. I use it on a gravel and in addition to making the bike more comfortable, it allows me to increase the saddle-handlebar distance.
