The only thing is that on some more broken and demanding climbs you can tell they're not as good as one with good tread, but for that, other tires are better. Are the Hutchinson Caracal race tires in their original packaging from the manufacturer? I ordered Pirelli tires that were not and I believe they were "seconds" as there was no manufacturer packaging with them. They failed to hold air for more than 8 hours.

In my case the tires (Caracal) were in the original manufacturer box. But it took 2 outings before no longer having losses in the tubeless version with preventative.
