The K-EDGE Garmin Stem Mount is an excellent upgrade solution for riders who prefer their computer over power.

you can´t say that in general, if it´s a normal stem, yes! You just have to have some space above the stem (spacer)

I want to attach this to my road bike stem cap. I measured the external diameter of the spacer on the stem to be approx 34 mm. Will this or the alternative k edge adjustable mount be compatible? I'm asking this as I'm not familiar with mountain bikes

The stem must have a negative inclination (point 1) the fork shaft is actually the same on racing bikes and MTBs of the new generation. There should be a spacer under the adapter, otherwise it might touch the stem...
