I bought these to replace my keo blade carbon pedals (previous version) The inner bearings on those were starting to have friction (16k mi) and unable to grease them. I went with the ceramic bearings model hoping they last a lot longer, I have read they made improvements. The wide pedal platform is definitely noticeable. The #12 blade is very secure.you do not get the lower # blade and the 12 blade as you did with the old pedals. I used the 12 in my old ones. I believe the regular bearings model comes with the lower # blade. All in all a great pedal and as always a great price from Bikeinn even after paying (unfortunately) 15% tariffs to the US

Lower number is easier. An 8 blade is available that would be easier than 12. Standard is pretty much 12, if put out power then consider 16 - don’t want an accidental release either (pull up/out and land on top tube or worse).

The tension is the amount of spring tension that is holding your cleats in the pedal, so the higher the number, the stronger the tension is holding. But it also means that you have to overcome the tension to be able to uncleat yourself.

There are two models here, both called LOOK Keo Blade Carbon Ceramic, same weight and description, one has a single piece plate, one has a three piece plate. Different prices. Can somebody tell me the difference and which to go for?

They are both the same, but the one with a single metal piece is the previous model, and the one with the 3 piece metal (or the more expensive one) is the new 2024 model. I think both will have very similar performance, though I guess the newer one might have a slight advantage. If not why would Look even bother to come up with a newer one?
