Well after 5 years I switched from Shimano to Look and I can say that the difference is noticable imediatelly. Clicking in is so easy, you just touch pedal with the shoe. With Shimano you have to press, sometimes you have to press hard. Second thing is feeling under the foot, much better feeling than with Shimano. Third, bearings are different and you can feel it. As for the service, this pedals are great. Just need to get special tool.

Used it for 200 km so far, the pedal is great, comfy, the platform size is more than enough to feel stable. The metal where the cleat and the pedal is touching already shows a bit of wear, will see, if that will increase with time. The cleats that comes with the pedal are awesome. Some reviews states they use it with Shimano cleats as they are interchangeable. I tried the Look cleats, for me it is better than the with the Shimano. There is a slightly larger play that works fine with my style of riding and it is easier to unclip with the OEM cleat when I rotate my foot inward. I can recommend this pedal and cleat.
