Well, that's how the hub had to come out of the box, not with the 24-tooth ratchet. With this one, it engages every 9 degrees of cassette rotation, not like the 24-tooth one that engages every 15 degrees. It's crazy.

Hello, I have used it in a 2019 Crossmax XA wheel. As far as I have been able to find out there is no difference in the ratchet itself. The 40t is better because more contact area.
