Can the product be used on an aluminum frame and is it always necessary to apply the AP-1 adhesive before using the RC-1 fixative or can the fixative alone be applied?

It can be used with alloy frame. The AP-1 will speed hardening, but for aluminium it is not needed.

According to the parktool instructions, the ap1 is only necessary when the frame is carbon.

For aluminum frame simply use standard grease. RC-1 needs to be used for press fit bottom bracket in order to avoid potential creeks on carbon frames. AP-1 needs to be applied always prior using RC1,
