Hello, The fourth bike carrier may stay in place when the cargo box is mounted. However, the box comes very close to the bike carrier. Therefore, i have been able to mount a kid bike together with the cargo box. Not without trouble. But an adult sized bike will not fit. At least not with the pedals. The mounting of the cargo box requires tools and time typically 30 to 45 min. And same for putting the bike carriers back. If you plan to interchange them often, there are better solutions on the market with quick mounting clips systems.
