Hi, this chainring uses the property Race Face Cinch Direct Mount system and maybe it's only compatible with Race Face cranks with this system interface. Check what's the interface of your XT crankset.

No it isn't compatible, shimano use a different size interface and higher tooth count on the spline. You would need a shimano specific chainring, lockring and tool to fit shimano cranks.

The choice of your offset depends on the rear axle and the type of cranks. I use a Race Face Next with a Shimano 12v groupset on Syncros Silverton 1.5. They are perfect on them.

This Raceface chainring will only fit Raceface Cinch cranks - you would need to use Raceface Turbine, NEXT SL etc cranks with a fatike spindle (crank axle) to suit your rear hub axle width - spindles come in two sizes for 170/177mm or 190/197mm rear axle widths.

The chainring can be flipped over (text faces inwards to the frame), so that the offset is the other way and clears the frame. It is normal to do this with Raceface chainrings.

Hello. I purchased the 36T Race Face Direct Mount Cinch crown and am using it on a Niner Air 9 RDO Boost, with 12v and 52mm chainline. It works perfectly. You need to tell your mechanic so he can confirm that the chainline is correct (52mm). If not, you can use spacers to reach this ideal value. You measure the chainline from the center of the bottom bracket to the chain/sprocket.

The problem is not the chainring, which is generally fine as long as the chain is also changed, but the sprocket set that goes from Sram to Shimano also requires a different attachment on the hub.

Dear... you have to check some things regarding the exchange of your relationship as you explained in your writing. Firstly, if your frame has a 32-tooth crown, the offset of that crown, the gear dropout to be able to fit a 51-tooth cassette and also the chain as it will have to be bigger. Given all this and if your bike supports this change, it will certainly be much better for cycling, especially in places with high altitude. I remember that this crown is specific to a Race Face sail foot. OK ???? Hope this helps.
