SHIMANO´s new FC-RX810-1 crank balances weight and efficiency for mixed-terrain riding. I found that when riding multi day endurance events with a loaded bike I struggled on climbs because of the excess weight I needed to carry. The GRX 48/31 is the perfect compromise as I don’t need out and out speed. Very happy!

GRX is the best for gravel and climbing while still being able to maintain your cadence. But if you want to go fast, you may want to look at bigger chainrings.
