The part raises the caliper 15 mm on the side furthest from the wheel axle and 10 mm on the side closest to the wheel axle. To this, you need to add the space you need to screw in the bolts (you can calculate this approximately by seeing how much the current bolt rises after fully unscrewing it). If you have that space above the caliper, you´ll be able to mount it.

Yes, make sure you install it with the arrow up. I have a Rs Pike on my bike and went to a 203 mm disc and it´s fine. The Pike posts are set for 180mm discs and the adapter bridges the gap. Other forks have different post set up - eg the Domain is set for 200mm discs and the adaptors for those are a set of washers. So as long as you Pike has post mounts set for 180mm discs this adapter is for you.

Much depends on the diameter of the rota you are using and the fork. If say you´re using a Rockshox Domain fork it´s set up for a minimum 200 mm rota, if your rota is 200mm then you shouldn´t need and adapter. If you are using a 220mm rota then you´ll need a 10mm adaptor. If you are using a 203mm rota then it´ll be a couple of small spacers. If your forks are different then you need to find out what the fitting is eg Post mount, IS mount etc. Uberbike supply many adapters for disc brakes and have videos on their website detailing the types on how to identify what you need and if you contact them they will advise which adapter you need for the rota/fork/caliper combination yo have.

The Sram DB8 brakes are for a Post mountain type attack, therefore they are compatible but only if you go from 180mm to 203 mm discs, not if you go from 203 to 220 as well as if you go from 160 to 180 mm they have different spacers.

I wouldn´t recommend it. Look for sram mounts adaptor. Much depends on the diameter of your rota. I upgraded my bike from sram to Shimano, and I don´t believe the parts are interchangeable. Sram for Sram and Shimano for Shimano. Three are suppliers who make parts for various brands, so check their Web sites, but make sure you match thr caliper and rota size.

These are fixed to the bike with "Allen bolts" other wise known as "Hex (as in hexagonal) bolts. As such you will need a set of allen keys. Tbe bolts screw into the threaded holes in the post mounts on the forks/frame.
