The gears shift smoothly and precisely. After 6500 km problem with the derailleur cable which became burred requiring the disassembly of the mechanics (fairly easy but impossible at the side of the road). Hopefully this is a cable problem and not guide design.

This is indeed compatible, you don´t need to buy another derailleur. As long as you combine with Shimano 10sp there is no problem.

Good morning. The Tiagra 4700 lever is not compatible with older generation Tiagras, nor with 105. However, the 4700 Tiagra is compatible with the Shimano Grx 400 derailleur. Have a nice day

It is not compatible because for a matter of draft the Tiagra shifters change perfectly only with Tiagra derailleurs (and vice versa). You can mount them but you risk it won´t change perfectly ...
