Although this looks like a simple plastic tool, it does work as it should. The ring is conically quite tight around the cups and also in the key, which ensures that you do not just break it quickly. You must place the ring on the cups from the right side so that it slides completely on. This allows you to apply more than enough force without anything wearing or breaking off. Not really for a workshop but for amateur, occasional use more than enough for that price.

It is an adapter made of glass and plastic resin and if it fits too tightly into the tool it may become deformed and then it will be difficult to put it in the bowl. If the cups are also very tight it can make you suffer. It is original shimano and here at bikeinn they have it at a very good price. It worked for me but it was not easy to dismantle the bowl.
