Hello, I would like to increase the capacity of my existing Specialized Vado SBC-B10 battery to 604 Wh by swapping cells. Is this possible? Thanks and regards.

Hi As for I know, i would mess with the battery. First, the warranty would probably be gone. Second, if your mew battery catches fire or has a malfunction of any sort, it is probable that your insurance wouldn't cover any damage. Third, Specialized protects their battery and microchips per encryption. Making it impossible to recondition/repair the battery. The customer would have to buy a new one. Hope this helps!

Hello! I have a question about the Specialized Turbo Vado battery that you are offering for sale for 905.99 euros, with 694 wh in black. The product description says: Please note: The Turbo Vado battery does not include a battery cover. What do you mean by that more precisely? Does that mean the top cover that just clips on, or do you have to unscrew the original cover shell at the top and bottom and insert the new battery set there and screw it back on? Because I´m looking for a complete battery with cover and battery so that I can only replace it when my original battery runs out during a long journey. Can you help me with that? The battery cover is usually in the design color of your e-bike. This design color varies from year to year. You can only request a battery cover from your authorized dealer. Your color is rarely still in stock after a year. I screwed a cover of a different color on my old battery and mounted the original cover of my bike on the new battery. I could not find the battery cover in my original color on the internet. Norbert

The battery has a fuse inside. Unfortunately, this fuse can no longer be replaced because the European Union forces manufacturers to prohibit this practice. This was due to misuse of the fuse during replacement (using a larger fuse than originally installed) and the resulting hazard. The battery can only be repaired by Specialized and must be sent in. Specialized will replace the battery without any problems during the warranty period.
