Braking system: Disc or rim brakes? That depends on your frame and what you want to do with the bike. Both systems are safe, but disc brakes are more modern.

It is a rim brake, not a disc brake. It works with both rim brake AXS and any mechanical rim brake shifter.

Does this same brake work front and rear? ..because the value changes one if it is front and rear?

It could, but there are two slight differences. The rear brake comes with a short bolt, and the front brake has a longer bolt that goes through the entire fork. Lastly, you would need to re-orient the brake pad holders so they are pointing in the right direction.

Hi, they are identical but with different nut lenght (16mm front/10mm rear).
