Excellent extractor. To remove some 30-year-old cranks, I first had to remove the front part of the extractor, which is removed with a small Allen wrench. This front part is a support to exert force on it, but in the case of these connecting rods said support is larger than the hole inside the connecting rod so that it can come out, so I repeat, I have had to dismantle said support , which is like a washer but very thick. But once said support was removed, the extractor worked perfectly. And as additional information, since at first I couldn't remove the cranks with the extractor, what I did was the following. I added WD 40 lubricant, then I inserted the extractor, tightened it very well, and without using it, that is, without wanting to remove the connecting rod, I released it again. So, the second time I put the extractor in and tightened it again, that's when I used it, and the cranks came out without any problem.

From what I´ve seen on Polini´s website, the axle that the crank is fitted to may be compatible, but you have to make sure that the crank has an internal thread to screw the extractor into. If it does, the extractor is compatible.

Good morning friend. I recently purchased this extractor for a restoration project on an eighties bike with a square bottom bracket and it has worked perfectly. It is also valid for FSA or ISIS as long as the cranks have a thread where the extractor can be screwed. The tool itself has two different tips, a fine one by default and another circular one that comes attached with a very small allen screw (the one you see in the photo). If you are not able to remove your FSA/ISIS cranks with the circular part, don´t worry, you should be able to do so once you remove the tip piece of the extractor to be able to remove your cranks. I hope I have been helpful. For the price it has and how useful it is, it is a safe purchase.
