I’ve been riding the Vittoria Barzo Graphene 2.0 Tubeless 29x2.35 for a while now, and it has quickly become one of my favorite MTB tires. Right out of the box, it mounted easily tubeless and sealed without any issues. The 2.35 width gives it a nice volume for comfort and stability, especially on technical trails. The tread design is more aggressive than the Mezcal, with pronounced, spaced-out knobs that really dig into loose dirt and offer excellent braking traction. Cornering feels controlled and predictable, even on wet roots and rocks. It rolls a bit slower than a pure XC tire, but the trade-off is the extra grip and confidence it provides on rougher terrain. The Graphene 2.0 compound also makes a difference – it balances durability with a grippy feel that doesn’t wear out quickly. After several rides on mixed terrain, including muddy sections, rocky descents, and hardpack, the Barzo still looks great and performs consistently. If you want a tire that can handle aggressive XC and trail riding, with reliable grip and a strong tubeless setup, the Barzo 2.35 is a fantastic choice.

I swapped some Maxxis tires for these on the front wheel, and I actually prefer the Vittoria tires. They're nicer looking and give me better grip on loose terrain. They filled the tires right away with a shop pump, which was amazing. I then added tubeless fluid. I've already used Vittoria tires on another bike and have never had any problems with loose tires or punctures. Highly recommended.

In the start it felt weird, the side knobs are softer so it did feel like I was riding with a flat tire, does feel weird but then I noticed that it didn´t compromise my handling in turns, it just felt weird to be. But now I feel more and more confident with it and the grip of the tire is quite impressive for an xc tire. I would recommend the Vittoria Barzo but do note that it would feel weird the first time you try it.
