Hello, you could just wipe it with a cloth and that would be it, but in my opinion it is convenient to give it a little water. The steps would be: apply the degreaser, leave it to act for about 5 minutes and then spray with water (hose down) and finally wipe with a cloth. This is the process that I have used to degrease bike chain. Currently I no longer use it because I lubricate the chain with wax (it dirty less than oil, it stains less and the chain can not be given water and cleaned only with a rag before a new application of wax).
