I've been with the seatpost for 6 months and no complaints. Correct operation, installation in two minutes .. It has a very slight slack when extended, from what I was told it is normal for almost all dropper posts.

I bought this because I didn't want to install a post with an external cable, also didn't want to invest in the extra cost of a remote post on a beginner bike. Build quality seems very good and assembly and first use was seamless. The control is easy to use and with care can be used while riding, however you should assume that it needs to be operated while stationary for your own safety. I think it's a great alternative to adjusting the post manually, just be mindful that operating it while approaching a ramp may not be the best idea.

Hi In the picture it looks like it has a lever on the back to control the height but in the description of the product it says it has a remote operation button and internal routing, which one is correct? Can I use it with external routing? Thank you.

The post has an old school underseat lever, which fits pointing forward. There are no buttons, cables or routing, just fits a a normal seat post. Top value, still works fine and super easy to operate. Hope that answers your question.

Hello, can you specify the exact product measurements: total seatpost length, minimum and maximum insertion length? Why is the seatpost length listed as 260 to 340? I assume that 340 is the total length and 260 is the retracted length, meaning less 0.80 of setback?

The seatpost works very well. It measures 33 cm from the seat post clamp when fully open, and 25 cm closed. The insertion point into the frame is 16 cm, i.e., the section of seat post visible below the silver ring. It measures 17 cm from the base of the silver ring to the seat post clamp when open, and 9 cm closed.

I know that the travel is 8cm or 80mm. 260 + 80 = 340mm (highest config). Hope it helps, I don't have deep knowledge of all detail as well.

I have 100mm of seat post above my seat tube so will not be able to use the full drop. will I be able to set the post at the correct height for me and only use the remaining drop ,with the seat returning to the correct height?

Yes you can. The only difficulty may be in the process of returning to the raised position. It will "try" to gain all the height, but you can release the handle at the desired height and it will stay there. I usually do this and leave a little "extra height" reserved for rolling.
