I bought this seatpost knowing the enormous comfort it gives! I also mounted it on another bike always gravel choosing the right size absorbs perfectly to the stresses and I can not do without it anymore. Perfect on all surfaces my back and butt thank you. Over time some noises can occur but knowing it with a little teflon grease in the right places everything disappears. FOR ME IT HAS BECOME INDISPENSABLE.

Excellent product. I can not compare to similar items, because I only have experience with this. It works as expected. Riding is much more smooth, my back problems seem to be over. It silences the first bumps when I am not ready doing it with legs. Long rides, daily commute with potholes is better

Product purchased to replace ncx-Suntour suspension seat post. First impression after a few hundred km is good. Adjusting the saddle position is a bit laborious because you cannot easily reach one of the two adjustment screws. That was better with the Suntour. However, I could not get it properly horizontally adjusted, but this seat post could and that was the main reason for purchasing it. Inquiries show that bearings cannot be reordered. That's a downside. But we'll see how many kilometers this seat post lasts. It comes with an excellent manual.

I purchased the rod without many views. I installed the rod in a light configuration. I didn't have to adjust the sensitivity of the spring. I've already done over 300 km and I was pleasantly surprised. Does a great job of smoothing out the bumps in the road and even riding on a smooth and comfortable stream. The only minus is a squeak coming from the clamping ring area. I sanded the paint a little and it seems to help a little.

I already used another seat post with suspension and this time I decided to buy the XLC for the different type of damping. To obtain satisfactory results equivalent to what I had, I lowered the spring tension almost to the minimum value, unscrewed the screws, put oil on all of them and did not retighten to the maximum. At the moment it is working correctly, but it smooths out some irregularities in the terrain, nothing more.

Seatpost creaks a lot while cycling, is there anything I can do about this?

Have you tried squirting the 4 pivot points with lube? I had a similar problem quite soon after fitting the post, I don't know whether they dry out whilst in storage. Anyway I squirted mine with Muc Off MO94 (similar to WD40) and it seems to have done the trick. Hope this helps.

Excuse me . my seat tube is size 33.9. It´s compatible ? - How big is the XLC shock tube?

The SP-S07 is only available in 27.2mm, 30.9mm and 31.6mm. XLC does not have any 33.9mm seat posts at all. You may be able to get an adapter from 33.9mm to 30.9mm somewhere.

Hello, I’m a newbie and I have no idea what size seat pole to get? I have a Merida 10 speeder, a beginner bike for myself, and I’m looking for some extra support. I heard a Elastomer Spring type pole would be best for what I’m using the bike for; road and footpath riding. Please can you advise myself on what size pole to get for my particular bike, particularly the diameter. I weigh just below 100kg’s. Many thanks!

SEAT POST SP-252 Φ30.4, 300mm What you have to do is look on the manufacturer´s website of your bicycle for the diameter of the seat post, I did a quick search for the bike you say you have and I found the measurement that I put it at the beginning of the comment but check it, I don´t know if I got the correct model of bicycle; I insist, you can find it in the technical sheet, you can notice that in this publication the only thing you can change is the diameter

I only find the seat post for 70-85kg in 30.9 or 31.6mm. Can you switch the springs for my weight of 80kg and a diameter of 27.2?

Hi, Yes you can take 85/100 kg seatpost. I am 85 am+nd had same dilema. 85/100 does not mean that seatpost does not work if you are below 85. 85 is aproximate weight and it works just fine. Every spring is set with little tolerance.

Hi, I´m about the same weight (84) and I have the 85/100 version and it works fine. Nicely get the first sharp shock from an unevenness in the driving path. This is not too tight, but also not so that you will float on the saddle.
