Took about a month to receive it because I’m in the US but it was worth the wait. Really nice quality and super light for what it is. Without the stuff sack, I weighed it at 10.62 ounces in size M/L. It’s lighter than the combination of my rain jacket, pack cover, and rain skirt. It’s also more convenient to have all 3 in one. I would definitely recommend this!

Ponch fits really well. Im 176cm and 84kg. So the M/L is perfect size. I like the elastic cuffs. And the ability to be able to quickly take it off.

Wore this on Camino Santiago in January. It rained heavily every day. The poncho was great for keeping the heavy rain off, but both my companion and I were both wearing this poncho and realized that our jackets underneath were lightly wet. The fabric is super light so maybe it is permeable in very heavy rain or it could be condensation since it was at times humid. It surprised us, but we both still loved having ,the poncho to protect us from being completely soaked. May be best with a raincoat underneath. I loved how its visor kept rain off my face and I could pull my hands inside the poncho. I am glad I bought it and I would definitely bring on the Camino again, just don't be surprised by the when you take it off and you are a little wet.

Seems like good quality. I'm 170cm, I bought a ML that reaches a little below the knees. I believe that a rucksack of approx. 50 l can fit in the back bag. The only regret is the elastic band tightening on the wrists, which I think wears off when the air cannot circulate. Previously, this model had velcro tightening on the wrists, which received a lot of praise. I unstitched the wrists and removed the rubber band and replaced it with velcro. I covered the holes of the seams with waterproof tape. I also taped the hem of the jacket because the seams on the hem were not taped even though they were in other places.

The H30 is an excellent value, very functional, and is truly waterproof. I could find nothing in the US like this. I did a trial on a 5 mile hike in steady rain, wind, and 40F/4C, and my initial impression is that this may be the holy grail of rain gear! It kept me and my pack dry, ventilates well, functions well as a wind break also. Love the Velcro adjustment on the back of the hood, and the bill is stiff enough to repel rain without a hat. The zipper seems a bit delicate but necessary to keep the weight low; I shall be careful with it. The Velcro on the zipper flap is helpful. I am 5'5"/165 cm and 140 lbs/63 kg and purchased a Small. It is roomy but not too big, and does not flop around like the loose ponchos sold here. My pack is 58L (ULA Circuit). As others have said, it is best that the pack height does not go higher than about neck level. The arms could be slightly longer; if the pack is very full, it is a bit tight at the shoulders but remedied by easing the sleeves up a bit. Overall an excellent piece for my kit. So happy I could find a source that would ship to the US for a reasonable fee!

Je mesure 6 pieds et 3 pouces et j'ai acheter le XL-2XL. Suffisamment long avec un sac à dos de 55l. Bien fait, semble résistant mais tissus est un peu mince.

This product appears to have good production quality, all seams are nicely taped, the velcro is not the best but acceptable, elastic in the sleeves and hood cord is not the best, but acceptable.
The fit is very wide, which is good since you can wear a lot of clothes under it, and also move your arms out of the sleeves without taking it off your body.
I am 187cm tall, and using the M-L size, and for me it covers my arms, and goes down to my knees, but not over them. Could be a few cm longer, but it is acceptable.
The hood was big enough to cover my head, which is not always the case with some products.
The part that covers the backpack is big enough, so it doesn´t expose the back of your legs. However, this only applies if you have backpack that stops at your shoulders/neck. If you have a backpack that extends up to your head, it will not work as well.
I had a chance to test it in fairly heavy rain for several hours, and it held up very well, I was completely dry.
Very smart and good product, highly recommended.

I am 1.70 tall and weigh approximately 68 kilos. I received a backpack for the snow, more like yours, and thick clothing for the cold. The size ML that I chose fits me well, even a little loose. A size smaller may be enough for you.

I would like to order the Altus poncho but am unsure of size. I am 5ft 5 ins and about 61kg in weight (female) but have broad shoulders for a woman so do not want it too tight around the shoulders. What size should I order? Also my backpack does come higher than my shoulders.

Well, I don´t know what to tell you, I´m 1.70 tall and have a slim build and, since I wear many layers of snow clothing, I chose the size ML, which fits perfectly with a normal backpack and with a margin. All the best

The sizes are S, M/L, and XL/XXL. Im 5’10” and weigh 175 pounds. I bought the M/L. It fits me well and comes down to my knees. If you’re 5’4”, the M/L would likely come down to your ankles.

Hello I am 1.70m tall, what size do you recommend? in pants I wear M I found an Altus size guide which directs me towards XL! I fear that in XL that the poncho will come too close to the ground and that I won´t see where to put my feet. Another question, does the poncho have ventilation openings and where? and finally is it possible to take the water bag hose out of the poncho in order to drink without undoing everything?

Hello, regarding your question, I cannot answer you exactly, but to give you an idea, I am 1.60 meters tall and I bought size S. In my case it is the appropriate size. Following this logic, I think that for 1.70 the XL-2XL may be a little big, but it is just an opinion, it will also depend on the size of the person and the size of the backpack.

Hi, I have recently bought one of these. I am 182cm tall and 33" waist. I went for the XL and I feel it is a little too big for me. Lengthwise it is okay for me but maybe too long for shorter people.Around the middle it feels too baggy although I haven´t tried it while wearing a rucksack There are 2 small ventilation holes under the chest flaps which don´t really provide much ventilation but you could probably utilise them for your water hose. I´ve worn it in a downpour and everything underneath kept dry.

I put a 65l bag under it, and it worked. But, you can’t load in such a way that the top of the bag rises high behind your head.

Depends I guess. I purchased the 2xl size. I am 6´ and 300lbs with a bit of a gut. My pack is the Granite Gear 60L and this poncho fits over it comfortably and still allows for plenty of movement. I don´t think a 75l would be a problem.
