Product description Montane Minimus Jacket

Weighing in at just over 230g the Minimus is an ultra lightweight rain shell from the future. The fabric, PERTEX®® Shield +, delivers exceptional breathability levels and performance characteristics which are perfect for use with a lightweight pack during showery conditions or as an emergency rain shell. With a pack size of a large apple it will hardly be noticed when not in use.

CONSTRUCTION:

- PERTEX®® Shield + provides exceptionally high fabric breathability at 20,000 MVTR and a 20,000mm hydrostatic head

- Micro-taped seams throughout to increase breathable surface area

PATTERNING AND DESIGN:

- Articulated arms for high reach movement and tailored specifically to reduce hem lift

HOOD CONFIGURATION:

- Fully adjustable helmet compatible hood with three point adjustment and wired peak

- Internal elastic loop combined with hook on rear hood compression drawcord allows hood to be rolled down and stowed away whilst not in use in windy conditions

POCKET CONFIGURATION:

- Mesh ventilated, OS map-sized, YKK zippered chest pocket

- Internal D-ring inside chest pocket for secure key storage

CENTRE FRONT ZIP:

- Full length YKK AquaGuard® front zip with internal storm flap and rain drain

- Roll over beardguard to prevent zip from contacting chin or mouth

CUFF AND SLEEVES CONFIGURATION:

- Shaped cuffs with adjustable hook and loop tabs for ease of use with gloves or mitts

HEM CONSTRUCTION:

- Adjustable hem to prevent weather entry and heat loss

FURTHER FEATURES:

- 360° ‘DUSK TILL DAWN’ reflectivity

- MONTANE® stuff sac perfect for storage on the move

After several months of testing I can say that it is an excellent jacket. Very light and withstands fairly intense rains. The perspiration is very good. Perfect to carry in the mountain backpack especially in spring and summer.

Better than what i expected

The shell is better than what I expected. I recommend some larger size for those who trail in the mountains and want to put it on their backpack. However, the size guide that the site offers has been very supportive. I used it in strong winds uphill over a fleece shirt and it was a great help. Despite my heavy sweating the perspiration was perfect. In the rain, the ability to move the underwire in the hood made the difference compared to what I have had in the past. Highly recommended.

I bought it on recommendation, it is not yet tested, but it looks quality ..... the only thing I did not like was the packaging .... an item too expensive to simply come in a bag, I would have preferred in a box of Cardboard as other online stores do. Greetings.

Not yet tested in the rain but the jacket is very good. The color is beautiful. The jacket is light and compact. I ordered in size M for 1m74: fitted cut but not tight, sleeve length and lower back sufficient for walking and cycling. I recommend ;)

I used it at a medium-heavy rainy weather for 1-1.5 hours. I am satisfied with its breathability and water resistance. The ability to adjust the top of its hat made it a great convenience to see the front, especially on the mountains trails. Very light product. Can be used in cold weather with underwear.
