Attwood 2 pins base plug for 12º angled pole

ATTWOOD 2-Pin Base Plug for 12º Angled Pole Lights – Secure Electrical Connections

Ensure your vessel remains visible, safe, and compliant on the water with the ATTWOOD 2-Pin Base Plug, expertly designed for 12-degree angled pole lights. As a critical component in the Electronics and Electrical Connections category, this base plug provides a rock-solid and reliable power foundation for your removable all-round white or masthead navigation lights. Engineered by ATTWOOD, a leader in marine hardware, this component is built to deliver unwavering performance in the harsh marine environment, giving you peace of mind during night-time navigation and periods of restricted visibility.

Unwavering Reliability and Durability

Experience a new level of confidence in your boat´s electrical system. This base plug is designed to establish a secure, positive electrical connection, eliminating the frustrating flicker or power failure common with inferior or corroded bases. Its robust construction ensures it can withstand the constant exposure to saltwater, UV rays, and the vibrations of a moving vessel. The internal contacts are engineered for superior conductivity and corrosion resistance, guaranteeing that your navigation light receives consistent power every time you plug it in. This focus on durability translates to a longer service life and less time spent on maintenance and repairs.

Intelligent Design for Perfect Positioning

The standout feature of this base is its integrated 12-degree angle. This smart design is specifically intended for mounting on the sloped surfaces of a boat´s gunwale or deck. The angle compensates for the boat´s natural sheer line, ensuring that your light pole stands perfectly vertical. This vertical orientation is not just for aesthetics; it is crucial for providing true 360-degree visibility as required by maritime regulations. It ensures your light is seen clearly from all directions, significantly enhancing your safety and the safety of other boaters around you.

Key Features for the Modern Boater
* Protective Watertight Cover: A key innovation is the low-profile, sliding cover. When the light pole is removed for storage or during the day, the cover slides securely over the socket. This shields the electrical contacts from water spray, rain, salt, and debris, preventing corrosion and ensuring a clean connection is ready when you need it.
* Secure Locking Mechanism: The base includes a robust locking collar that provides a firm, positive lock on the pole light. This prevents the pole from rattling, vibrating loose in choppy water, or becoming disconnected, ensuring the light stays put and stays lit.
* Clean, Low-Profile Installation: Designed for a flush-mount fit, this base provides a clean, unobtrusive, and professional look on your boat´s deck. Once installed, its low profile minimizes tripping hazards and snag points for fishing lines or ropes.
