PERMATEX Form-A-Gasket No. 2 Sealant: Your Trusted Partner for Marine Maintenance

Ensure the absolute reliability and longevity of your boat´s engine and equipment with PERMATEX Form-A-Gasket No. 2 Sealant, the industry-standard choice for professional marine mechanics and dedicated boat owners. When you´re out on the water, the integrity of your engine´s seals is paramount. This proven, original-formula sealant provides a robust, leak-proof barrier, giving you the peace of mind to enjoy your time on the water without the worry of unexpected fluid leaks or performance issues.

Expertly formulated to improve the sealing performance of pre-formed gaskets, this sealant is the perfect solution for dressing and securing cut gaskets made from cork, rubber, paper, or felt. It fills minor surface irregularities between flanges, creating a flawless, secure fit that dramatically enhances the gasket´s ability to prevent leaks. Whether you´re performing routine maintenance, a complete engine overhaul, or a quick repair, Form-A-Gasket No. 2 is the dependable choice for a perfect seal.

Slow-drying non-hardening sealant designed for sealing cut gaskets and stamped parts.

Allows for easy disassembly if required.

Temperature range -65ºF to 400ºF (-54ºC to 204ºC) resists common shop fluids and fuels.

Use where sealing is more important than adhesion.

One of the most significant advantages for any boat owner is the sealant´s unique non-hardening nature. Unlike permanent sealants that create a rigid, difficult-to-break bond, Form-A-Gasket No. 2 remains pliable and flexible even after full curing. This crucial feature means that when it´s time for future maintenance or repairs, components can be disassembled with minimal effort. You can avoid the time-consuming and potentially damaging process of scraping hardened adhesive off valuable engine parts, saving you time, effort, and protecting your investment.

Engineered to withstand the demanding and often harsh marine environment, this sealant offers exceptional performance and durability. Its impressive operational temperature range ensures stability and integrity through constant engine heat cycles, from cold starts to full operating temperatures. Furthermore, it boasts excellent resistance to gasoline, diesel fuel, oil, grease, and other common marine fluids, protecting the seal from chemical degradation and ensuring long-lasting, dependable performance season after season.

Ideal for a vast array of marine applications, this versatile sealant is an essential item for any boater´s toolkit. Use it with confidence on:

* Valve cover gaskets
* Oil pan gaskets and flanges
* Water pump and thermostat housings
* Threaded connections and hose fittings
* Gearbox cover plates
* Anywhere a reliable, serviceable, and non-permanent seal is critical.
