PLASTIMO Hand Lead Rope 50 m: Master Your Anchorage with Unfailing Accuracy

Navigate with absolute confidence and master the time-honored art of seamanship with the PLASTIMO Hand Lead Rope. An essential piece of equipment for every prudent mariner, this 50-meter sounding line offers a direct, reliable method for measuring water depth and analyzing the seabed, completely independent of your vessel´s electronics. Whether you´re cruising in unfamiliar waters, planning a secure anchorage, or require a trustworthy backup system, this hand lead provides the critical information you need for safe and stress-free boating.

The true genius of this tool lies in its dual functionality. Beyond simply providing an accurate depth reading, the PLASTIMO Hand Lead is designed for seabed analysis. The specially crafted 0.615 kg sounding lead weight features an integrated recess. By "arming" this recess with wax or tallow before deploying the line, you can retrieve a sample of the bottom composition. This invaluable intelligence tells you whether you are about to anchor in sand, mud, clay, or over rock, allowing you to make the most informed decision for a secure and steadfast hold. This classic technique remains one of the most dependable ways to ensure your anchor will set properly and hold firm throughout your stay.

Engineered for simplicity and clarity, the system is exceptionally easy to read, even in challenging conditions. The durable Ø 4 mm nylon rope is clearly marked with a distinct colour toggle at every meter, providing instant, at-a-glance depth measurements. To further simplify the process during deeper soundings, the rope features a complete colour change every 10 metres, eliminating any guesswork and allowing for rapid and precise depth calculation. This intuitive design ensures that any crew member can operate it effectively.

Built to withstand the harsh marine environment, this hand lead is a prime example of PLASTIMO´s commitment to quality and durability. The robust nylon construction of the Ropes ensures excellent resistance to abrasion, saltwater, and UV degradation, promising years of reliable service. Its total weight and ergonomic design make it easy to handle and deploy from the deck. As an indispensable component in the category of Boats and equipment and a vital item among Accessories and parts, the PLASTIMO Hand Lead Rope is more than just a tool—it´s your guarantee of safety, knowledge, and peace of mind on the water.
