PLASTIMO M5 Threaded Tensor 2.5 mm | Marine-Grade Rigging Screw

Ensure the ultimate safety, performance, and longevity of your vessel´s rigging with the PLASTIMO M5 Threaded Tensor. As a critical component in the Boats and equipment category, this high-quality fitting is engineered by Plastimo, a trusted name in the marine industry, to provide precise and reliable tensioning for a variety of onboard applications. Whether you are outfitting a new boat or upgrading existing hardware, this tensor is designed to withstand the harshest marine conditions, giving you unparalleled peace of mind on the water.

Unmatched Durability and Corrosion Resistance

The primary benefit of the PLASTIMO M5 Tensor lies in its superior construction, specifically chosen for its resilience in saltwater environments. The combination of materials ensures exceptional performance and durability. The polished AISI 316 stainless steel used for the fork, threaded rod, and bolts provides maximum protection against rust and corrosion. This marine-grade steel maintains its structural integrity and polished appearance even after prolonged exposure to sea spray and humidity. The closed body, crafted from robust chrome-plated bronze, not only adds to the corrosion resistance but also crucially prevents the threads from seizing or galling—a common issue in all-stainless steel turnbuckles. This thoughtful design guarantees smooth and reliable adjustment for years to come.

Precision Adjustment and Enhanced Safety

Achieving the perfect tension in your rigging is essential for both performance and safety. These high-quality Tensors are designed for fine, accurate adjustments. The M5 threading allows you to meticulously tune your standing rigging, lifelines, or guardrails to the exact specification required, optimizing sail trim or ensuring structural stability. The closed body design offers a significant safety advantage over open-body alternatives. It protects the delicate internal threads from dirt, salt, and accidental damage, while its smooth, enclosed profile prevents lines, sails, and clothing from snagging, reducing potential hazards on a busy deck.

This versatile fitting is ideal for a wide range of applications, including standing rigging on small sailboats and dinghies, adjusting lifelines and guardrail wires, architectural tensioning systems, and other general-purpose tensioning tasks where strength and reliability are paramount.
