It's a good watch. It has everything you need for running. I'm selling my Garmin Swim 2, which I bought because I wasn't into running at the time, but it fell short. I couldn't program workouts or set pace alarms, which are essential for running and which the Forerunner 255 definitely has. I also like all the data it offers, like VO2 max, HRV, etc.

My previous smartwatch was the Vivo active 5 with touchscreen. After more than half a year I sold it because the touchscreen can also be annoying. Some activities stopped during the activity, others disappeared. Cause wet sleeve that I touched with my hand. That's why I got a normal one for a similar price. This one works fine. The font size can be adjusted to large. Big enough to see without reading glasses. Furthermore, the Forerunner 255 can do everything I want. I am a long-distance runner (11-42 km).

I am upgrading from vivoactive 4 and this watch is quite amazing. I was used to touch screen that the 255 does not have. After 1 or 2 days, I got used to it. The metrics are amazing for running dynamics like ground contact and vertical oscillation. Intervals training is really good too. Open water swimming is also very good. So for this price and all the available features I would give it a 5 stars rating.

A beautiful watch, very complete, very comfortable. Tested for a 50km night hike and so far it has met my expectations. Battery and GPS are very good! Coming from an amoled touchscreen smartwatch, you have to get used to it a bit. The screen is certainly less beautiful but for me this is not critical for hiking and running. It is a sports watch. This allows a much better autonomy, and better readability of the screen during the day. In short, satisfied with my purchase!
