I mounted this 700x55 (29"x2.25) tire on both wheels of my Specialized Epic Carbon MTB because I wanted a tire with high rolling resistance on the road and especially on gravel. I must say that despite the low central knobs, the feeling is of having excellent grip on dirt roads (obviously light), very smooth and silent in rolling when riding on asphalt roads. Even when cornering on dirt roads, excellent feeling, due to the higher side knobs. Very soft tire, easy to mount. Tubless OK. These are my feelings immediately after returning from my first 90 km ridden on a mixture of embankments and asphalt roads. I therefore recommend this product for those who, like me, were looking for a gravel tire for MTB. If I wanted, I could also mount 29"x2.10 or 29"x2.0, if I wanted to have a slightly narrower tire than the one I mounted which ultimately turns out to be 54 mm wide. Delivery on time, on the date as per info receipts. Excellent value for money.

I wanted a wider tire for my eGravel Ghost Parh Asket Pro that would be more comfortable on the very battered roads we have, but would also be fast. The Terreno in 29x55mm should also provide good grip on moderate terrain, especially in curves. Both requirements are met really well. And the tire is almost as fast on the road as the Specialized Pathfinder Pro, and much better on rough terrain. The tubeless installation is also very easy, because the tires can simply be pulled over the rim flanges. The tires are ridden with very little Muck Off TB milk, and were immediately sealed after mounting without re-inflating. The Vottoria Terreno also looks good. The ordering process and delivery were flawless as always.

Yes, 700 tires fit 29-inch rims. Just check your frame´s clearance for the rear tire to make sure there´s at least 6mm left on either side of the tire.

If by gravel you mean dirt roads, then they are very good. I used them both on this surface and on asphalt and they are very smooth. If the ground is hard and dry they are the best.

The problem is not the diameter but the width, it depends on the internal channel of the rim. It may be too narrow compared to the 52 mm of the tyre. There are reference tables on the net, you should check. I think the combination is risky.
