The Morse code lever will work for this particular boat, but if you only want to use the lever without the base or the mechanism included to control the Morse code cables, you should check that this is the same model you had installed. The only thing I can think of to get a lever without a base or mechanism is that the workshop or boatyard mechanics have something used, which is difficult, but it could be possible. As far as I know, the lever alone is not sold.

La palanca morse te sirve para este barco en particular, pero si solo quieres usar la palanca sin la base ni el mecanismo que incluye para controlar los cables morse deberías comprobar que este es el mismo modelo que tenías instalado. Para conseguir una palanca sin base ni mecanismo solo se me ocurre que en el taller o mecánicos de varadero hallan guardado algo usado que es difícil pero podría ser. Hasta donde yo se no se vende solo la palanca.

It’s the whole thing - the picture just shows the outside box and lever, but the whole mechanism is included. Weighs about 2kg. And is ready to connect to the cables. Just right for our 3GM30C

Yes its black, the only thing in silver is the small logo (that it is an adhesive, so if you prefer you dont attach it). The central button to disengage the transmission is red (as in the picture).

Niels, Rather sure black is the only color choice. The replacement was exactly the same as the twenty year old original. Making installation a breeze. Cheers.

The cutout for this unit is about 25 to 30 mm for the main control shaft and there are 4 small m6 approximately mounting holes, from memory I think there is a drilling template with the kit, but I did not need it as the unit fitted exactly into my existing units mounting holes.The hardest part was removing my old badly rusted unit which I ended up cutting with a thin slitting disk to remove.

1. Cables do not come with the lever. 2. The leaver system is a 2 step system in one leaver. There is a throttle element to it pushing the leaver back and forth revs the engine via the throttle cable. The other will engage forward or reverse via the gear cable. This system is fitted to most boats. Download the manual from the TFX teleflex website. It’s a standard leaver system

Hi there. I had exactly the same thought as it only pictures the lever. I can confirm that is the complete mechanism and lever that you will receive. I ordered mine as a direct replacement for the one that is on my boat that was locking in gear. The new one works very well.

Hi Hamish, I recently replaced my boat’s engine throttle / gear box control with a TFX Side Shift Single Lever unit. It was pretty much a like for like replacement. The two existing push me pull me cables were kept and just a little fine tuning on the throttle cable was required. The engine model shouldn’t be an issue. What is important is the range of throttle cable movement to go from idle to max revs, likewise with the gear cable there is a range of cable movement required to go from neutral to engaging either forward or reverse gear. I suggest you check what the range is on your Morse unit and see if it is compatible with the Tfx unit. Sorry but I don’t have the Tfx figures to hand. Good luck David

With the button out, it activates both the gear cable and the throttle cable. The push me, pull me that to describe is for the gearbox forward and reverse and the other cable is just a pull me cable for the throttle. The principal is the same as the Morse, but it’s whether determinations are compatible. I have the old unit if you want it when I replaced it with a new one.
