My favorite gravel tire.

I discovered this tire last season when I was looking for a grippy tire for a muddy and rocky course. The ride is smooth and sublime. I have this tire in both the 40mm and 45mm. It has since become my favorite gravel tire.

After reviewing an endless number of ranking and review articles on gravel tires, I'm really pleased to have settled on the Pirellis. A little tricky to get seated on the rims, but the performance has been outstanding on mixed trails and singletrack. Confidence inspiring and a great value, particularly against other brands like Rene Herse. Highly recommended.
Only gravel tire I will use.

The tire is very durable, fast and quiet. Suitable for quick setups after good quality gravel. Unfortunately, it slips on soft ground. I do not recommend it for mountain trips, unless on proven routes.

A very good tire. It works great in the field, mud and sand are not afraid of it. Very good rolling also on asphalt. The only small downside is the tire's weight, but above-average durability.

It is the third pair of Pirelli cinturato mix terrain that I have tried. I used previously in the classic color in sizes 40 and 45 and this time I use in size 40 in black. I like the latter better in black, because they feel quite fast in the city or on asphalt, keeping their weight low, and like all the other Pirellis they have good grip on wet pavement, they are comfortable and give a lot of confidence and good grip in practically everything. land. A detail: in black in the 700x40c size they are slightly narrower than the 700x40c in the classic color (maybe 1.5mm narrower, giving exactly 40mm on a rim with an internal width of 22mm); however, they handle well at very low pressures.

Eye! When mounting them I have been surprised that they are much wider than 45mm. Actually after measuring them with my caliper they give a little more than 48 mm. I had WTB Radler 44s on. The Pirellis are almost 5mm wider, I barely have a couple of mm gap between the tire and the frame. Ball grip etc. Excellent. P.S. If I had known the detail of the oversize, I would have mounted the 40.

These are supple, fast, and easy to install. I didn't need any tire levers. Unless you ride really, really technical and tough routes. This is great for all conditions and fast when you're on the road

The experience of years is evident, it is difficult to place them by hand in the ring, but when they fit so well, they are tubed with the house pump, a very comfortable installation. Excellent behavior, on gravel, sand, loose stone... The best I've tried. It drags a little on the road due to the weight but they roll fantastically.

Hello, what is the actual width of the Cinturato Mixed Tubeless 45mm tire? I have a 22mm rim, I wonder how the width of the tire will change when I put it on the rim. My maximum fits 45 mm with a minimum gap, so it will be unpleasant if it swells to 47 mm or more

Hello, the official sizes are: ETRTO (inner rim width): 21c, 23c, 25c, the tire width (WAM): 44, 45, 46 mm, measured at: 4bar/58psi. These are correct sizes, they correspond to my own measurements.

Good looking tire with solid sidewalls. Installation was a little challenging with the stiffer walls it was tight to get over the lip. Setting the bead was easy with an air compressor. Ride was good and grip was excellent in the muddy sloppy conditions. It is slower then some other tires but if it is messy this is a great tire. Rolling on the asphalt it was a little slower but really not to bad at all. I am sure on hard pack it will be good aswell.

Pirelli doesn't make this tire in 38mm width, but you seem to offer one. Is the 38mm tire actually 40mm tire? I would like to buy 40mm tire, but I'm not sure what I get when I order the 38mm one. Thank you.

I also know that 38 are not produced so I don´t know what to say. In the end I had taken the 35 mm ones just to avoid surprises

Hi, you indicate possibility to purchase 35 and 38mm tire widths, however Pirelli manufactures 35 and 40mm sizes of this product. Ordering a size 38 from your store, will I get a 40mm tire? :) Thanks!

I can´t answer since I bought it from 35 mm. But I can say that I found myself really well, smooth in hard and with a lot of grip in rough and muddy conditions.

If they have decent puncture protection. The greatest protection is on the sides of the tire, it is similar to the mesh that Hutchinson uses, but it is possible to receive a puncture in the spaces between the coconuts of the tire tread. I use them on a 22mm internal hoop and everything is ok. They can be used with rings that have an internal width of up to 25 mm.

Hello, you can see on the package that "700c" is equal to "622" ETRTO and that it specifies from 21c or larger. 21c is the internal width so YES, it will be perfect for a 23c rim. You should always go to the product website to learn about specific details.
