Hello, I have a new 28-tooth race face chainring for a 12-speed shifter and I need to know what tools I need to shift it and if this cover is compatible. thank you.

Not sure about your question. But, this is a lockring to lock the chainring on to the raceface direct mount crank arm. You need a bottom bracket tool BBT 22 for this. https://www.tradeinn.com/bikeinn/es/park-tool-bbt-22-bottom-bracket-tool/137771293/p
